Joint NGO statement at the CRCP 2025: ‘Thirty years of securing solutions together’
29 June 2025
At the 2025 Consultations on Resettlement and Complementary Pathways (CRCP), over 80 non-governmental organizations from around the globe have united to issue a powerful joint statement reaffirming their commitment to securing durable solutions for refugees. In the face of rising global displacement, shrinking resettlement quotas, and increasingly hostile political environments, this statement is both a call to action and a roadmap for reinforcing protection-based mobility pathways.
The NGO community urges States and key stakeholders to expand and sustain resettlement programs, scale up innovative complementary pathways—including education and labour mobility—and invest in inclusive integration strategies. The statement emphasizes the need for multi-stakeholder collaboration, amplified refugee leadership, and decisive action against misinformation and systemic barriers that hinder refugees' access to protection.
As we mark 30 years of coordinated effort through CRCP, the message is clear: meeting the needs of forcibly displaced people is not just a policy issue—it is a matter of global solidarity, shared responsibility, and reaffirmed humanity.
