Third regional multi-stakeholder cooperation platform for migrant and refugee integration in Lower Silesia

The regional platform is set up in the framework of the Share SIRA project, our European project co-funded by the European Union’s Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, which aims at strengthening and expanding the social orientation and overall integration of newcomers in rural territories in Europe. Besides Lower Silesia, regional multi-stakeholder cooperation platforms have also been set up in 9 other rural regions in Europe. Click here to find out more about these regions!

On 4 February 2022, IOM Poland, with the support of the SHARE Network, organized the third roundtable of the regional multi-stakeholder cooperation platform for migrant and refugee integration in the department of Lower Silesia, Poland.

36 stakeholders joined the 5-hour online event, including NGOs, mainstream service providers and regional authorities and agencies.

The discussions among the participants mainly focused on their activities in the field of integration and on the current initiatives put in place. The roundtable started with an update on the pilot actions explaining what they are currently doing and their plans.  During the roundtable, a training aspiring to respond to the need for acquiring more skills on individual integration programs and the relevant requests of the regional authorities was conducted. This training, which was led by an external expert, mainly targeted a regional support center and lasted almost 4 hours, representing a major part of the roundtable.

The stakeholders involved in the regional platforms will gather on one more occasion in 2022. You can find more information on the activities in Lower Silesia on the regional page.
